I saw Battle Royale, a film in which Japanese schoolchildren are forced to kill each other on a deserted island until only one is left. I could post all sorts of interesting things about it, but frankly you should see the film and look those things up yourself.

Alsion - I can't find your email address, or one for ToM. If you can forward these on I'd greatly appreciate it; I'm trying to organise the old gang getting together, and the notice is going to have to be fairly short.

Did you win the Baron Munchausen comp for Arc 2002? If not, do you know who did? I'm trying to get the perpetual trophy updated

Do you know, I'm not sure. I think I did, but then I also seem to remember that the last time I had the trophy I updated it with all my wins... You ran that competition, as I recall, so it wasn't the one I ran... I don't remember not winning, if that's any help, and I'm sure I'd remember that.

Need to ask the boffins, I think. Anyone in the audience remember?

Yes, I did run the event, and I submitted a copy of the winners list to the con orgs.

I have subsequently moved house, and the study (and all the paperwork) is the last thing yet to be unpacked.

I asked the con and they seem to have lost all the records of the winners from that year.

so now I am asking around if anyone remembers who won - quite possibly from te simple expedient of checking their trophy shelves. :)
