Summarizing Proust/Black Books

Becoming unemployed and watching all of Black Books does strange things to my head, especially when I realise that I am Manny and become transformed through the act of watching into a Bernard/Manny hybrid who lusts continually after Fran. This is of course completely natural and will run its course, after which I'll go back to being very much like Bill Bailey (my beard is almost grown back too, though I haven't decided whether I want to keep it - it might be time for the moustache again.)

Turmoil is a great word with which to describe the inside of my head, and decisions will not be finalised until I've had a chance to back off and calm down a bit, but at the moment I think my plan is to get out of town for a little while, visiting Adelaide and Canberra, then work here until after Fringe when I will go overseas for a holiday and come back, move to Canberra and study the Bachelor of Science (Science Communication), squeezing as much credit out of my previous abortive degrees as possible. Not the simplest of plans, but it gets me where I think I should be going.

In the meantime, I'm doing everything and nothing, both in the more literal sense of keeping constantly busy without being terribly productive, and in the sense that I'm playing the Gamecube game of the same title.

Why is it when you're waiting for a couple of parcels in the mail, your housemate gets parcels three days in a row? I mean, sure, his birthday's coming up, but most of this is stuff he bought himself.
