The Chosen One
Mar. 20th, 2004 10:06 pmChristopher Eccleston is the new Doctor. You'll probably recognise him (as I do) from Elizabeth, in which he played the Duke of Norfolk, or more likely (as I do not) from 24 Hour Party People, in which he played Boethius.
Russell T Davies, the new series producer, is perhaps its most enthusiastic advocate. I believe him when he says "It's going to be a magnificent, epic, entertaining journey." Finding the One - far more important and interesting to me in this context than anything in those Matrix films - brings his awesome dreams closer to reality, a reality only a year or so away.
While in the grand scheme of things this is certainly not important, I think you can all understand if I need to lie down until the excitement wears off.
I'll be back in Melbourne late tomorrow night.
