Now this is a find
Aug. 5th, 2002 01:36 pmWell, I know some of my books go missing when lent to people, but one of them is now obsolete, thanks to http://www.gizmology.net/lovecraft/works/ - all the works of Howard Phillip online for your reading pleasure.
Of course, reading from a screen is still shit. As is oft said, you can't curl up in bed with a computer monitor. And before I get 26 replies informing me that Palm Pilots and similar handhelds can do the job and will fit in your bed, you still don't get to feel the pages, turn each one, know that you hold in your hands the physical manifestation of another human being's thoughts and stories... Christ, I am a Romantic Goth.
PS - Little Wonder is my kind of Bowie, 90's/millennium Bowie. By way of contrast, I like all three Beatles periods, though I'm aware many people consider them to have little offer before they took any drugs. (The transition albums would be to your liking, Leah - try Rubber Soul and Revolver. Some small amount of drugs may have been involved in those two albums, and they're my favourites.)
